DETAILS:
1. First and foremost, ProgressiveParty.US seeks to reclaim and properly define the terms “Progressive” and “Progressivism.” CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS

2. Encourage citizens to register as Independents, unaffiliated or no party preference. We are NOT encouraging voter registration or party building at this time. We are merely building coalitions with like minded groups. We encourage everyone to reimagine what a political party should be and how it should be structured to empower local people rather than empower and enrich party leaders. We encourage local activists to take independent action, not ask permission.

3. Network and organize activists along Congressional District lines in advance of the 2022 election with a clear awareness of the redistricting that will occur nationwide in response to the 2020 census.

4. Empower local, autonomous progressive organizations and encourage them to draft candidates to run for Congress from their local district in 2022. These candidates can be either unaffiliated with any party or members of any party outside the Democratic-Republican duopoly. Our goal is to form coalitions in order to break the Democratic-Republican stranglehold on power.

5. Get money out of Progressive Party politics. This has already been accomplished, simply by design. ProgressiveParty.US is a 100% volunteer effort. No donations are sought, and none will be accepted.

The Progressive Party avoids financial complications by being structured as a 100% volunteer organization that puts power and control in the hands of the people at a local, Congressional District level.

We do NOT have a top-down, authoritarian, hierarchical structure. At this point in time, the Progressive Party merely seeks to be an umbrella organization that brings like-minded local groups together in working coalitions.

This is NOT about "the party." This is definitely NOT about the party leaders. It is about empowering members of the working class on a local level and connecting them with like-minded groups around the country and around the world.

We believe in getting money out of politics, so we do NOT accept donations of any kind. We are able to express our views freely without government oversight and intervention BECAUSE we have gotten money out of OUR party's politics.

The main theme of the Progressive Party Platform of 1912 was reversing the domination of politics by business interests, which allegedly controlled the Republican and Democratic parties, alike. The platform asserted:

"To destroy this invisible Government, to dissolve the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day."

We still face the same problem today.
Many politicians and organizations hypocritically state that they want to "get money out of politics" and then they proceed to ask you to donate to their campaign or to support their cause.

The Progressive Party will NEVER ask you for money.

We are 100% volunteer based. NO DONATIONS will be accepted by the party at the national, state or district level.

Our party will NOT be structured like any other political party. The POWER in the Progressive Party will NOT be centralized at the national or state levels.

The TRUE POWER in the Progressive Party will be vested in the individual volunteers who work to elect new Congressional Representatives on a local level in the 435 Congressional districts across America.

The primary purpose of the Progressive Party is to ORGANIZE A STANDING ARMY OF VOLUNTEERS who will be ready, willing and able to support or oppose candidates for public office and take action on important issues on an as needed basis.

Our primary goal is to encourage and support Progressives to run as Independent candidates for Congress in 2022, 2024 and beyond.

PLEASE REALIZE THAT IT IS FAR EASIER TO RUN FOR CONGRESS AS AN INDEPENDENT THAT IS SUPPORTED BY AN ARMY OF PROGRESSIVE VOLUNTEERS THAN IT IS TO START A NEW POLITICAL PARTY.

Think about Bernie Sanders. Until 2016 he rejected party affiliation and was elected to Congress and to the Senate as an Independent. We want to attract and support 435 Bernie Sanders to run as Independents in each and every Congressional District.

The problem is that "We The People" are not organized in a manner that maximizes our power. There are hundreds of progressive organizations across America, but the collective power of our progressive voices is splintered.

Our federal government is designed to have 435 members of Congress who are supposed to represent US, but their attention has been hijacked by lobbyists for corporations and special interest groups who have replaced our voices with their money.

Since the Democratic and Republican members of Congress refuse to represent our needs and desires, we need to kick them all out of office and replace them with members of the 99% who will listen to and act upon our demands.

Our solution is clear: To focus our collective Progressive energy on Occupying Congress by organizing geographically along Congressional District boundaries.

The purpose of the Progressive Party is to ORGANIZE A STANDING ARMY OF VOLUNTEERS who will be ready, willing and able to support or oppose candidates for public office and take action on important issues on an as needed basis.

Our plan is to organize and focus the Power of the People in order to take back control of Congress.
STEP 1: AWAKEN THE MASSES
Spread the word about ProgressiveParty.US and encourage millions of Americans to simply consider a new party that is dedicated to supporting the will of the people.
STEP 2: ORGANIZE BY CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
The Progressive Party will be unlike any other political party in that the national and state party structures will purposefully be designed to be weak.

We are not looking for a Presidential candidate to be our leader or savior.

TRUE POWER in the Progressive Party will be held by the people who will be organized on the grassroots level in 435 independent Congressional Representative District party organizations.

Each of the 435 district organizations will be autonomous and self-governing. They will choose their leadership democratically and operate independently.

STEP 3: OCCUPY CONGRESS
Starting in the 2022 elections, but primarily focused on the 2024 elections, the Progressive Party will focus on encouraging 435 of its members to run for Congress from their respective districts. Our goal is to win and maintain a majority (218+) of the seats in Congress and take over control of the House of Representatives in January 2025!

WE ARE NOT...
We are not looking for "a savior" to lead the party as a Presidential candidate from the top of the organization. Only "We the People" can save America.
WE ARE...
We are working to ORGANIZE A STANDING ARMY OF VOLUNTEERS who will be ready, willing and able to support or oppose candidates for public office and take action on important issues on an as needed basis.
Our goal is elect a majority of Congressional Representatives in 2024 and take back control of the government that is supposed to be of, by and for US.
