Every consumer has the right to know what is in the products that they purchase. Full disclosure of GMO ingredients should be required on all product packages.
Laws controlling the use of genetically modified organisms need to be strengthened to enhance consumer awareness and to protect organic farmers from cross contamination.

Sixty-four countries around the world, including Australia, Japan, and all of the countries in the European Union, require genetically modified foods to be labeled. Animal derivatives such as meat, eggs, milk, and honey are considered high-risk inputs due to the prevalence of GMOs in animal feed.

We agree with the 2016 Green Party Platform:
"We support mandatory, full-disclosure food and fiber labeling. A consumer has the right to know the contents in their food and fiber, how they were produced, and where they come from. Labels should address the presence of GMOs, use of irradiation, pesticide application (in production, transport, storage, and retail), and the country of origin."
