Our society currently employs a limited (but substantial) amount of socialist policies as part of our social safety net. We recommend repairing and expanding these social programs. Yes, this is socialism, but uncontrolled capitalism is CLEARLY destructive to society. Many programs in the United States have been instituted for the good of society as a whole. Competition is a reality of life, but cooperation softens the edges and protects those who are being left behind.
